Riverwoods

This summer I got a really great job at the Shops at the Riverwoods in North Provo.  I got to perform regularly and learned how to work the sound equipment.  I would set up for the performances before the bands got there, hook them up and do sound checks, and make sure the sound was balanced well throughout the show.  Sam came a lot and would help me with all of the heavy speakers and sound checks.  I also got to perform a lot, and learned new songs that I could find mp3 tracks for online.  I bought most of my tracks off of Amazon, and it was interesting to sing with a monitor and microphone.  I liked being performing so often, and the more casual setting was really fun.  Here are some pictures of me performing.

Enjoying a show with some shoppers.

Setting up one of the bands.
Getting ready to perform!  We always went to Marley's Sliders to get big water cups.

Songs on my set included:
Til There Was You (Music Man), Unexpected Song (Song and Dance), Think of Me (Phantom of the Opera), O Mio Babbino Caro (Gianni Schicci), The Last Rose of Summer, The Prayer, I've Never Been in Love Before and I'll Know (Guys and Dolls), Quando M'en Vo (La Boheme), Over the Rainbow (Wizard of Oz), Ach ich fuhls (Magic Flute), Home (Beauty and the Beast), Some Enchanted Evening, Tonight (West Side Story)
I never did manage to memorize much of my music...

Y Mountain

Brave was awesome!  What a great movie.  After our date, we decided to hike the Y Mountain for fun.

I am definitely not hiking it in flip flops again, but so worth it!  It was really fun for us and really pretty.

The Home Depot

Sam and I have had such a great time working at The Home Depot together!  Sam started in October 2011 in Electrical, and I got hired on for Gardening at the end of March. I got to water the flowers and visit Sam a lot.
My family came to visit for Graduation, I believe.  It was so fun to show them around!

Greatest Show Ever!

For those of you who don't watch the Bachelorette, I have to tell you it is a pretty great show.  I wasn't a believer until this season when I started watching it.  We got back from the Muddy and I got to watch it on TV inside of the next day on Hulu for the first time.  With one rose left, I thought Emily was sending both guys home, but then she left and came back with two roses!  So she kept everyone for another week, and I was so surprised.  I shouted "This is the best show Everrrrr!"  and Sam had to grab the camera.

Muddy

Driving up to the Muddy.
The forest service built a new bridge!  It is much easier to get across the creek now.
When we came into the meadow, there were 30-40 Elk grazing!  It was so cool, I had never seen so many at one time before.
My hair is finally long enough to do a French Braid!  I was pretty happy about that.
Livie loved exploring on her little 4-wheeler.
Sam and I got swings at Target for a surprise.  He secured them the this slat of wood on the roof.

Sam and I going for our first ride. :)
Playing with Livie in the rocks.  Soo cute.  :)

Getting up on the horsies!

We had a cozy bed up in the loft I loved it!  The toughest part was trusting the ladder all the way up, haha.
We were up at the Muddy for Sam's birthday on June 16th!  Sam organizes birthday skittles.
Eating the delicious chocolate cake Mel made. :) Mmm
There was a huge log in our way!  Sam sawed through the whole thing.
Making sure the work gets done.  Looking good, honey!
Whew!  Nice work! ;)
Climbing on the tractors down by the cabin.
Making a wish and blowing on the dandelion!
Skyler taking great care of his little nephews.
Sam and Steve working on the water system.
